Do you support the reconciliation of traditionalist societies with the Holy See? Well, here’s your opportunity concretely to do so, and to show to the rest of the traditionalist world that those within full communion with Rome are waiting with generous intentions for those who wish to reconcile. The group formerly known as the Transalpine Redemptorists - I wish that they would keep that name! - reconciled with Rome and, according to their Fr. Michael Mary, immediately a great number of SSPX chapels around the world dropped subscriptions to the newspaper published by the Transalpine Redemptorists, the Catholic. Their blog, Papastronsay, now as buttons for subscriptions as well as donations (via Paypal). A son of a friend of ours from Oxford is there, and so I have all the more reason to wish their monastery every spiritual success and the blessing of financial stability.
If you wish to subscribe by mail, there snail mail address is:

(I have written once before about the Transalpine Redemptorists, a post in which I sassed them for their (as I thought) ridiculous adherence to the bishops of the SSPX, as though they were some ecclesiastical authority who could occupy a position like that (much as I respect many aspects of their work and teaching). I’m very happy that things have worked out so that there’s no longer any occasion for such jibes.)
