Private Judgment

The essence of protestantism:

carranzaBishop Sergio Carranza, Assistant Bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, responded skeptically to the proposal, saying “If it’s something that will punish or discipline then I don’t think it will work.

“We don’t want to have a tribunal and we don’t want to have a group that defines doctrine,” he said, according to the Telegraph.

It’s good when they’re frank about it.

I was an Anglican and am now Catholic.
    Anglicans are Protestants.
Many are extremely well-disposed to Catholicism, but they are not Catholics, yet. The trappings of ‘orders’, vestments, music, and Catholic-like church buildings confuses this identity. Choosing high-church liturgy and fine music and rejecting the Magisterium is some sort of cafeteria religion, although I don’t know what such an eatery should be dubbed!
