I saw it as heavily sarcastic, Father. A satirical jibe at the Obama supporters, if you will. In the first place because, as you say, it's so obviously absurd to put Obama in the same category as Our Lord (which is what they seem to be doing.) And also because the people who do this are the same ones who profess to find the religious right so terrifying/contemptible. So, they're "above" getting enthusiastic about Jesus Christ, but they apparently find a substitute of their own.

Clever? Well, maybe if you are someone who avidly follows the Obama phenominon. As someone who lives in a state where the inexperienced newbie was elected governor even were I to vote in the Democratic primary it wouldn't have been for Obama. Even if I didn't disagree with his political views, I don't think he has the experience to lead the nation.

Unfortunately this quiz can create some problems. By making it Jesus or Obama it puts Obama in the same category as Jesus and he definitely doesn't belong there. It falsely puts the two on the same plane. And there are people who will take this quiz and think to themselves, "this guy is just like Jesus."

Pretty scary.
