I heard PAdre Pio said if youve committed a mortal sin and you are sincerely sorry for your sin, You could go for Communion without confession. How true is this? Also please sow some text stating this.

Padre Pio apparently was so conformed to Christ during his life that his birth was prophesied -- or so I heard.

His temperment was unique and was reflected in his no-nonsense approach to dealing with insincere sinners. Of course, this approach I'm certain (aka-- he's a saint) was one of trying to give the flat out truth so the sinner can make a substantive choice -- with God's grace -- to change his ways.
