		<description>Exterior penances benefit us interiorly. A parent may impose an exterior penances such as no television or no sweets as effective remedies to temper tantrums or lies of their children . I find even as an adult, exterior mortification improves the odds of being charitable in a frustrating situation. As sensorial beings physical actions play an important part in our spiritual growth. Consider the sacraments. Exterior penance in a sense is an efficacious sign of interior mortification. :)</description>
