What group of Dominicans are celebrating this old rite? Is it a priory or a parish…?
This is the Angelicum in the Rome, at the heart of it all. You read the previous post, right?
Just wonderful! My year at the Angelicum (97-98) gave me so many good memories, but this Mass is something beyond understanding. Really, right in the heart of The City! This certainly is the right direction!
Many greetings and prayers from as far as Finland!
This is fantastic! I’ve never understood why we suppressed the Dominican Rite in the first place. It was one of those Sixties Moments, I guess. Good to know it’s not permanent.

Well, Father Powell, does that mean, you’d be willing to celebrate the rite? I’d love to see that!!! Amen!
You must be one of my students! Well, I’ve never seen the rite celebrated. I’ve never read the rite. If I had a chance to practice a few dozen times, I’d be willing to do it, sure…
Though we couldn’t be there, you certainly have this blog’s eager endorsement of your endeavoring to learn and say the old Dominican rite, Father Powell.
Forget about encouragement, Iosephus; let’s go kidnap Fr. Powell and make him into our chaplain!
I think we even have an in at the Univ of Dallas where we could stage our operation.
Yikes! Time to hire bodyguards! I don’t think my Prior will approve that in my budget…
